For most homes a like-for-like replacement counts as permitted development and needs no planning application. The usual exceptions are listed buildings, properties in conservation areas, flats and maisonettes, and any change that noticeably alters the appearance or the height. Larger jobs can also bring Building Regulations into play. We will tell you which applies to your property before you commit, and check with the local authority where there is any doubt.
Is the quote really free, and will you pressure me to book?

It covers our workmanship. If something fails because of the way we fitted it, we come back and put it right at no cost to you, for 20 years. It is written down before work starts rather than promised verbally, and it transfers to the new owner if you sell the house. The materials themselves are covered separately by the manufacturer's own warranty.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. We carry public liability and employer's liability insurance on every job, and we are happy to email you the certificates before anyone sets foot on your property. It is worth asking any roofer for theirs before work starts, whoever you end up going with.
